The Time of Melancholy

Happy are those days when people go to their workplace in the morning and come back in the evening with a smile on their faces especially when it is the last day of the month. But today the situation has changed a lot. Happy are they when they come back in the evening with a big relief that they still have their jobs in hand.

Things have changed a lot these days and are still changing. People wonder where the world is heading to. Everybody is dissatisfied with one thing or the other. People who don’t have jobs are waiting at the doorsteps of the office for some job so that it can at least serve their livelihood. People who have jobs are worried about their jobs and its working atmosphere and the pressure they feel for it.

Everyday the situation deteriorates with the crime rates increasing and the rich and the powerful people walking in the streets with impunity. There was a time when no one was above law and everybody had the fear of punishment. There was a time when there happens to be a crime, there is a punishment for him. But today all the rich and the privileged are above law. They can do anything in this country and there will be no one to question them. The crime is not only pertained to homicide alone but also other issues like bribery, cheating , slavery ,misuse of power and position, crave for money and pleasure and lust .

But as told in Bhagavad Gita, “Whenever there is a decline of righteousness, and ascendance of unrighteousness, I create myself”; there will emerge an avatar to protect us from the evil and to restore the good times the world had. Hope it happens before the kali avatar swallows us.

Its sad that February month has changed from pink chaddi to pink slip.
But seriously its sad.
People who work in the companies sometimes have no clue that they are about to get the axe. Almost as if they they dread every day at the office could be their last.
OK, OK i gotta get back to work, my boss may fire me for staring at the same spot on the screen for too long.
:D
